About the Opportunity
An exceptional luxury hospitality destination is seeking a Director of Wine & Service to lead the front-of-house dining experience at a highly acclaimed fine dining restaurant. This is a senior leadership role combining the responsibilities of a floor leader, wine director, and assistant general manager, focused on delivering elevated guest experiences, exceptional service standards, and a world-class beverage program.
The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and wine-focused service environments. This leader will oversee dinner service operations, drive wine and beverage excellence, mentor service teams, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct nightly dinner service, ensuring flawless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Own and evolve the wine program, including wine service standards, staff education, and guest engagement.
- Oversee beverage operations, including wine, cocktails, spirits, and bar execution.
- Manage, coach, and develop sommeliers, bartenders, and front-of-house service professionals.
- Partner with culinary and hotel leadership teams to deliver seamless dining experiences.
- Maintain luxury service standards, operational excellence, and financial accountability.
- Drive team performance through training, mentorship, and ongoing development.
- Cultivate relationships with guests, VIPs, and clientele while creating memorable dining experiences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or upscale hotel food & beverage operations.
- Strong wine knowledge with experience managing wine programs and beverage service standards.
- Proven success leading high-performing front-of-house teams in an elevated dining environment.
- Experience managing sommeliers, bartenders, and service staff.
- Exceptional guest engagement, leadership, and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing labor, beverage costs, and operational performance.
- Sommelier certification or advanced wine education is highly preferred.
