Position Title: CDL Driver – Passenger Endorsement
Department: Transportation / Shuttle Services / Valet & Guest Services
Reports To: Operations Manager / Transportation Supervisor

The CDL Passenger Endorsement Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers using company-owned or client-owned vehicles such as shuttle buses, vans, or transit vehicles. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, strict adherence to safety regulations, and professional representation of the company at all times.

Operate passenger vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings.

Safely load, unload, and secure passengers, including individuals with disabilities or mobility needs.

Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including hours-of-service and logbooks (electronic or manual).

Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company driving standards.

Report mechanical issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Provide courteous, professional, and friendly service to all passengers.

Assist passengers with luggage, directions, and general inquiries.

Maintain a clean, comfortable, and orderly vehicle environment.

Communicate clearly about routes, schedules, and safety instructions.

Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.

Complete required paperwork such as trip sheets, incident reports, and mileage logs.

Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members for route adjustments or special requests.

Support company or property events requiring transport services as needed.

Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C depending on fleet) with a Passenger Endorsement (P).

Clean driving record and ability to pass background and motor vehicle checks.

Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing requirements.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to sit for extended periods and assist passengers when necessary.

Previous experience transporting passengers (shuttle, transit, hospitality, airport, or charter services).

Experience working in hospitality, valet, customer service, or property services environments.

Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.

May require early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

Work involves outdoor exposure, varied weather conditions, and interaction with guests and staff.

Uniform may be required.

Ability to lift luggage or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to assist passengers on and off the vehicle.

Ability to walk, stand, and bend as needed.

Hourly rate on experience and vehicle class. ($19-$20)
