Responsibilities:
- Tutor students from grades K through 11 using our English and Math curriculum
- Ability to manage a target class size of up to 6 students
- Grade homework assignments, tests, and/or essays (no work is required outside of class time)
- Maintain student progress reports
- Skilled & highly proficient in the use of technology as a teaching tool and interactive relationship with students. Is able to efficiently assist students with basic troubleshooting needs, especially with technology. Comfortable to learn new technology in relation to education
Work Schedule:
- Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:15pm
- Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:15pm
- Saturday from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm
Position Specifics:
- Salary: $15 to $17 an hour (depends on qualification and experience)
- English Tutors - All subject areas relating to English; including but not limited to: Grammar, Writing, Vocabulary, Reading, and standardized test preparation (FAST, SAT, and ACT)
- Math Tutors - All subject areas relating to Math; including but not limited to: Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, and standardized test preparation (FAST, SAT, and ACT)
Requirements:
- College sophomore or higher majoring in English, Education, Math, Engineering or related field
- Instructors should be comfortable working one-on-one, or in small groups
- Ability to follow instructions and work as a team member
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to teach students in caring and confident manner
- Experience in a tutorial program is preferred, but not required.
- Special consideration for those who want to be teachers

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
