Medical Assistant (Podiatry)

Full-Time | Split Between Two Locations
We are a busy, physician-led specialty medical practice seeking a high-performing Medical Assistant who is organized, proactive, and patient-focused.
This role requires urgency, accountability, and follow-through. The ideal candidate understands that excellent patient care depends on attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork.

Core Responsibilities
- Assist providers with direct patient care and in-office procedures
- Room patients efficiently and maintain clinic flow
- Clean, stock, and properly turn over exam and procedure rooms
- Answer patient calls and perform accurate patient triage
- Manage and follow up on patient messages in the EMR
- Assist with authorizations for special studies (MRI, CT, vascular studies, etc.)
- Coordinate care between providers, clinical staff, and front office
- Split time between San Luis Obispo and Templeton locations
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but will train the right candidate
- Minimum 2+ years experience in a medical office strongly preferred
- Experience in a high-volume specialty practice is a plus
- Comfortable using EMR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a plus)
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Reliable transportation between office locations

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience
