Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, measuring, and portioning ingredients
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Contribute to menu planning ideas and help execute special catering or event orders when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation, food industry standards, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards serving guests
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
