American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification for a travel assignment in Norwalk, CT.

Work setting is a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
-
Procedures include cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, arterial closure, and other invasive cardiovascular procedures
-
Shift times are 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with on-call requirements after hours, on weekends, and on holidays

Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab experience required

State of CT Radiographer license required if applicable

ARRT (R) and/or RCIS certification required

Only AHA certifications are accepted for BLS and ACLS

Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same specialty are required for consideration

Responsibilities include scrubbing and utilizing sterile technique for invasive cardiovascular procedures, preparing surgical trays and materials, and assisting the cardiologist with arterial closure devices and sheath removal

Monitors patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collects and enters patient data into the physiologic monitoring system, and generates procedure reports

Conducts pre-procedure patient interviews including medical history review, lab value assessment, patient and family education, and informed consent

Prepares and calibrates radiographic, hemodynamic, and other cath lab equipment prior to procedures

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
