Position Title: Security Officer
Location: Pelican, LA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Overnight Shift
Pay Rate: $11.18 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Pelican, Louisiana. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately to security-related situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor premises and observe for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security violations.
- Control access to the property by verifying credentials and authorizing entry.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident, accident, and activity reports.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional interactions with employees, visitors, and the public.
- Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, and security breaches to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by site supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass all required background screenings and pre-employment requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to conduct routine patrols and respond to emergencies as needed.

- Days: Monday – Friday
- Pay Rate: $11.18 per hour
