Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator/Manager to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, smooth, and professional patient experience. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and comfortable managing schedules, insurance, and patient communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in/check out patients in a warm and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
- Submit and track insurance claims and preauthorizations
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Present treatment plans and financial arrangements to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software
- Coordinate with clinical staff to keep the schedule running efficiently
- Handle patient reminders and recall systems
- Support overall front office workflow and organization
Qualifications
- Prior dental front desk or dental office experience required
- Knowledge of dental insurance and billing strongly preferred
- Experience with dental software (Archy, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable discussing finances with patients
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
