Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support medication administration and ensure proper documentation according to healthcare standards
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met for individuals with specific health conditions like dementia or autism
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitizing client spaces
- Provide emotional support through active listening, companionship, and engaging activities tailored to each individual’s preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Strong understanding of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism or memory care needs is desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks including assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON>
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families
- Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving and safety compliance

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
