We are seeking an experienced Wide Format Operator, the right individual will demonstrate a hard-working and contagious work ethic, capable of keeping up with a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
The primary function of the wide format press operator is to operate one or both of our wide format Mimaki Flatbed and HP R1000. The operator will also be expected to learn and work on other equipment, such as a digital Zund or Shop Sabre Routers.
Qualifications:
- 5 plus years of print experience - preferred wide format print experience
- Extremely high level of Integrity and hard work ethic
- Looking for someone that is best fit to operate, and maximize the output potential of the machine, while keeping producing high quality work, with attention to detail.
- Understands color and comfortable with software tools to make color adjustments.
- Ability to handle physical workload. Stand on your feet for 8 - 12 hours, Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, pull over 500 plus pounds (on casters), carry large 5 ‘ x 10’ boards, or heavy rolls.
- Ability to work well under stress.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Reads, understands and is able to communicate well in English.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate plant operations and activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion: ex: file issues, color issues
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Dealing with customers, ex: answering questions, doing press checks
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the machines and work area
- Lay out, editing and color correcting files as need be. Utilizing Adobe Graphics Suite, Onyx and RasterLink.
- Understands color, is able to manage a press check with a customer, or manager.
- Able to mange, edit color profiles.
- Fork Lift experience a plus.
