Description
SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems and Integration Engineer (SE&I) with experience in space, ground, and user system design and integration to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team onsite in El Segundo, California.
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. The SE&I Space Team provides engineering, technical analysis and subject matter expertise (SME) for the Global Positioning System (GPS) supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC). As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers. Major duties of this position include:
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and systems integration support to ensure an optimal integrated GPS System design.
- Contribute to the overarching approach and processes for integrating, synchronizing, tracking and analyzing dependencies across programmatic and organizational boundaries.
- Develop engineering and data models and populate them with up-to-date information to enable automated integration analyses.
- Provide technical support for test activities that characterize system performance.
- Perform and present data analysis that drive decisions on government programs.
- Support GPS Enterprise Risk & Opportunities management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master’s degree and twelve (12) years of experience; PhD of JD and nine (9) years or more experience.

Active Secret Clearance.

Experience working across space, ground, and user segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and key performance parameters to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.

Experience with system architecture development.

Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills, specifically attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to work well in multi-team setting, and willing to take on additional technical and administrative tasks/duties as needed.
Desired Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Space vehicle as well as other GPS related experience.

Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
