Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail application, and nail extensions to meet client preferences.
- Apply advanced techniques such as nail art, color theory-based designs, and intricate detailing to create unique looks.
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
- Educate clients on proper nail care, product usage, and maintenance tips to promote healthy nails.
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, and upselling retail products like nail care items or skincare treatments.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in nail artistry, esthetic laser treatments, and body waxing techniques to offer innovative services.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently while providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits and client loyalty.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of work.
- Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and sanitation standards.
- Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations.
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, disinfection procedures, and client communication best practices.
- Ability to perform detailed work such as nail art design, dermabrasion techniques, eyelash extensions, hair styling, hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities to connect with diverse clients.
- Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills for upselling products effectively.
