Facility Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Newberry, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (occasional on‑call support)
Compensation: $55,000–$60,000/year (based on experience)
Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all facility and infrastructure‑related maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant. This role manages preventive maintenance (PM) programs, coordinates contractor activities, and ensures the reliable operation of building systems and utilities—including the wastewater treatment (WWT) area. The position works cross‑functionally with operations, safety, and leadership to maintain compliance, minimize downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the safety and proper operation of all facility equipment
· Procure repair parts for routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance
· Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
· Develop and manage a plant‑wide preventive maintenance schedule for building systems, process equipment, and utilities
· Manage departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies, and labor
· Ensure compliance with wastewater and emissions standards
· Oversee outside contractors performing repairs and facility upkeep
· Ensure adherence to company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
· Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
· Participate in facility audits and inspections
· Manage maintenance inventory and ensure availability of critical spare parts
· Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and EHS teams on facility improvements and capital projects
Qualifications
Required:
· 3–5 years of facility or industrial maintenance experience
· Experience coordinating contractors and PM programs
· Working knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, utilities, wastewater, etc.)
· Familiarity with CMMS software
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements
Preferred:
· Wastewater treatment experience
· Manufacturing environment experience
· Budgeting or cost‑control knowledge
