What You'll Do
- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging, student-centered instruction.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assist with classroom organization, instructional materials, and daily routines.
- Build positive relationships with students while promoting a safe and productive learning environment.
- Help monitor student progress and provide academic support as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Participate in campus professional development, team meetings, and instructional planning opportunities.
- Model professionalism, collaboration, and a commitment to student success.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or current enrollment in a college or university program (preferred based on district requirements).
- Interest in pursuing a career in education.
- Ability to meet Houston ISD employment requirements.
- Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in or plans to pursue an alternative certification or educator preparation program.
- Previous experience tutoring, mentoring, substitute teaching, coaching youth, or working in educational settings.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
