Position Summary: Warehouse Team Lead
Responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving, and material handling operations. This position focuses on managing inventory, optimizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with chemical safety and OSHA regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct daily workflow and provide ongoing support, training, and coaching to team members; delivering regular feedback and identifying opportunities for upskilling.
- Optimize storage areas and oversee warehouse inventory in efforts to maximize space utilization and accessibility and to reduce waste and handling costs.
- Deliver materials to production lines; timely, to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
- Ensure accurate and on-time shipments of finished goods to customers.
- Track, analyze, and improve delivery performance metrics to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and customer service teams to resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
- Actively engage in safety programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
- Operate equipment in accordance with guidelines and established company protocols.
Must Have the Ability to
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and obtain medical clearance to wear PPE.
- Successfully complete required training and / or certification(s).
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Motivate, guide, and train staff while directing daily floor operations.
- Troubleshoot supply chain bottlenecks.
- Manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Stand for long periods of time, lift, push, and pull heavy materials (40lbs-50lbs +).
- Work flexible hours and overtime based on production workload.
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 5+ years of warehouse experience (preferably in a manufacturing plant environment) OR 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.
- Working knowledge of SAP software –Preferred
