Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The OT will work to provide therapeutic services to patients in our post acute care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improving daily living skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic settings as well as acute care environments.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and support.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
