NATURE OF WORK
This classification involves more difficult maintenance and repair work in underground water/wastewater collection and distribution systems for the City. An employee in this position performs or assists in a variety of installation, maintenance or repair functions; interprets plans; installs and replaces meters; answers customer calls; troubleshoots problems; operates related equipment; and checks for leaks. This position also trains and guides new employees, enters and tracks jobs; and responds to emergency situations.
