Responsibilities for home infusion RN
- Be a "quick change" agent
- Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in our patients’ homes
- Make a difference by using your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist our patients recover in the comfort of their homes
- Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners
- Challenge your clinical nursing (RN) skills by receiving continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion
- Additional licensure may be required in multi state service areas * Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners
- Have at least two years clinical management experience and three years infusion experience
- Participate in on call and holiday rotation as indicated by business and staffing needs
- Complete all required clinical documentation thoroughly and timely, including nursing plans of care (POC), plans of treatment (POT), visit notes, clinical summaries, medication profiles, discharge summaries and any updates provided to members of the patient’s care team, obtaining patient and/or caregiver signatures on relevant consents and required forms
- Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), OASIS documentation, and all home infusion standards of practice.
Qualifications for home infusion RN
- Drive throughout your workday to see patients in private residences, within a designated region
- Evaluate patient care assessment of documentation
- You will also carry a case load of patients and participate in on call as indicated by staffing and business needs
- Licenses or certifications required by the position: CPR, PICC, PIV, Port, PHN (preferred)
The per diem home Infusion RN position reports to the Director of Professional Services (DPS), and works daily with the scheduling department.
The per diem infusion rate will vary based on specific clients, specialty drugs and the payor sources. In general, the hourly assignments will be paid at the rate of $50/hr to $80/hr. There may be occasional assignments, which would pay a higher rate. It will be discussed at the time of the assignment and such agreed upon amount will be given.
Since this position is either per diem or part-time, the RN is not eligible for company benefits other than the State approved paid sick leave of 40 hours or five days per year; you may be eligible for our 401K after one year.
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
