Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of behavioral therapy services and patient care are maintained across all programs. Your expertise will support the delivery of effective interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, by overseeing compliance with clinical protocols, reviewing medical documentation, and enhancing service quality. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of behavioral therapy plans, ensuring adherence to applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and clinical best practices
- Monitor data collection processes to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency in tracking patient progress
- Evaluate patient assessments, intake documentation, and medical records for compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Collaborate with clinicians to improve treatment plans based on data analysis and diagnostic evaluations
- Provide feedback and training to staff on documentation standards, medical terminology, and behavioral health protocols
- Perform regular audits of medical records and documentation to ensure quality control and regulatory compliance
- Support the onboarding process by reviewing new patient files and conducting initial assessments as needed
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities in a clinical or educational setting
- Strong background in behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Familiarity with medical documentation, patient assessment procedures, and medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and confidentiality
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations or intake assessments for individuals with autism or other disabilities
- Prior experience in quality assurance or compliance roles within behavioral health or special education environments is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret data accurately
