Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cashier/Sales Associate to join us at Home Gadgets located at the Shops at Wiregrass! We are a family owned kitchen and housewares store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments through the POS system.
- Perform end of day store procedures
- Perform product demos
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and customer service protocols.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Proficiency in cash handling and experience using POS systems is highly desirable.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others and providing excellent service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- This role requires availability for full-day (open-to-close) shifts. Some scheduled days may involve splitting the shift with another employee rather than working the full day.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
