Troup Family Dental is looking to hire a friendly full-time Dental Assistant!

What you will be responsible for:
- Practicing your profession and living life with integrity; in an honest and moral manner
- Treating patients as you would want to be treated
- Having a friendly, relatable personality that puts patient at ease in a time that may be inherently stressful
- Assisting the doctor during procedures
- Taking full mouth series of x-rays as well as panoramic x-rays
- Sterilizing instruments, setting up operatories, cleaning up after procedures
- Maintaining all infection control protocols outlined in OSHA and office guidelines
- Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards
- Using all existing procedural and daily/weekly checklists
- Assisting with making calls on recare or unscheduled treatment
- Pouring up and trimming dental models
- Denture wax rim fabrication
- Maintaining your required CE hours for your license
- Attending and participating in morning huddles, weekly team meetings and all other necessary meetings
- Maintaining inventory
- Maintaining equipment
You're good at:
- Customer relations: Getting along with a variety of different kinds of people, treating people as you would want to be treated yourself or as you would a family member
- Teamwork: you take initiative and are eager to learn and grow, you get along well and are respectful of your employer and fellow employees
- Communication: You can clearly and comfortably communicate with patients and fellow employees
- Organization: You are able to multitask, prioritize and adapt quickly and keep your space clean and organized
- Details: You are detail-oriented and careful to accomplish all necessary procedural steps
You also:
- Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Are a Registered Dental Assistant in Texas
- Have nitrous oxide monitoring certification
- Have dental office experience
- Have digital practice software experience (Open Dental preferred)
- Are certified in Basic Life Support (CPR)
