Cafe Line Cook – No Nights | Daytime Schedule | Scratch-Made Food
A Taste of Britain in Wayne, PA is looking for a dependable, experienced Cafe Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team.
We're a busy daytime restaurant and tea room serving made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, frittatas, British comfort foods, afternoon tea, and catering. Our kitchen is fast-paced and quality-focused, but without the late nights and high-stress dinner service found in many restaurants.
This position is ideal for cooks with experience in cafés, delis, sandwich shops, catering kitchens, prepared foods, or lunch-focused restaurants.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and plate sandwiches, salads, afternoon tea selections, and other menu items with consistency and attention to detail
- Read and execute tickets with accuracy
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep lists to support smooth service
- Follow established recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures
- Work closely with our kitchen leadership team to maintain an organized, efficient operation
- Help produce catering orders, grab-and-go items, and special event menus
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and ready throughout service
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, deli, catering kitchen, or similar food-service environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety practices
- Pride in producing quality food consistently
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed
- Reliability and strong attendance
