Sunset is an artisanal printing business that creates digital prints and custom die cut, embossed, foiled, and letterpressed prints along with a variety of bindery and specialty finishing services. We work with small businesses, stationery creators, and anyone that appreciates high quality print work.
In the beginning, no two days will be the same, though we expect to standardize more as we grow. Among other things, your most common duties will include:
- Operating the digital printer and the letterpresses. We have 4 Heidelberg Windmills and 1 Kluge.
- Finishing jobs with hole punching, grommets, duplexing, and assembly.
- Catch potential issues in files prior to production and troubleshoot.
- Working with administrative and sales staff to pre-flight jobs, update work order statuses, and troubleshoot.
- Receive inventory and job materials.
- Check quality on outgoing work to meet the highest standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of physical space.
- Maintain equipment and work with outside support techs.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be comfortable with wearing multiple hats.
- Be detail oriented and obsessed with quality.
- Able to learn and change on the fly.
- Good with computers.
- Knowledge of printing is helpful for this job, but not required. We offer on-the-job training.
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
