Residential Manager – Seaford, DE Ready for Your Next Leadership Opportunity?
Choices for Community Living (CCL) is seeking an experienced Residential Manager to oversee one of our residential homes in Seaford, Delaware.
We’re looking for someone who can lead a team, stay organized, handle the day-to-day needs of a residential program, and make sure the individuals we support receive quality, person-centered services.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and can keep things moving in a busy residential setting.
A Day in This Role
Our Residential Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the home and works closely with Direct Support Professionals to ensure services are provided safely and consistently.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals assigned to the home
- Train, coach, and provide ongoing support to staff
- Prepare staff schedules and maintain appropriate coverage
- Ensure participant goals and services are being completed and documented
- Review daily documentation and complete required management entries
- Coordinate medical appointments and follow up on medical needs
- Monitor medication administration and related documentation
- Maintain attendance and billing records
- Manage household spending, food shopping, supplies, and other expenses
- Keep vehicle maintenance and service information current
- Make sure the home remains prepared for licensing visits, surveys, and audits
- Ensure staff follow agency policies, procedures, and state requirements
- Respond to emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation
Do You Have What We’re Looking For?
- At least 2 years of human services experience
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Medication Administration certification or ability to obtain certification
- Ability to complete all agency-required trainings
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage staff and daily program responsibilities independently
Position Details
Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Non-Exempt
This is not a traditional Monday–Friday office position. The schedule will vary based on the needs of the home and may include evenings and weekends. Emergency and on-call coverage are required.
