Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook food items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen tools and surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure health standards are met
- Support menu planning efforts by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning for daily service
- Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed
- Handle food products responsibly, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and waste management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department work, restaurant service, or kitchen support is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and food service operations preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff and serving guests
- Basic understanding of menu planning and catering processes is a plus
