Position Overview
The Survey Project Manager will oversee and manage survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in surveying, and the ability to coordinate a diverse team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple survey projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on surveying solutions.

Supervise survey fieldwork and data collection processes, ensuring accuracy and quality of results.

Prepare and review survey proposals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals.

Coordinate with engineering and design teams to integrate survey data into project plans effectively.

Conduct boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys as needed, ensuring precise measurements and documentation.

Manage project documentation and reporting, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status and milestones.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience in land surveying and project management.

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or equivalent certification is required.

Proficient in survey-related software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.

Experience with Trimble GPS and boundary surveying techniques is preferred.

Strong project management skills, including proposal development and budget management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

Knowledge of IDOT regulations and procedures is a plus.
