Energy Fuels is a leading producer of critical materials, including rare earth elements and uranium, with a growing domestic and international footprint. We are seeking a temporary Human Resources Generalist & Special Projects Contractor. We anticipate this position to last approximately 3-4 months.
The HR Generalist & Special Projects position is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations while leading and executing strategic HR initiatives. This position serves as a key partner in HR, ensuring effective delivery of HR programs and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who can balance operational responsibilities with project management, change management, and continuous improvement efforts.
This position is based in Lakewood, Colorado.

HR Generalist

Support day-today HR operations.

Assist with recruitment activities, including resume reviews, interview coordination, candidate communication, and onboarding documentation.

Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

Support performance management, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.

Assist with employee support programs.

Special Projects
-
Support strategic HR projects, including but not limited to process improvement, system implementation, organizational initiatives, and policy updates.

Develop project plans, timelines, status reports, and executive summaries.

Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support HR decision-making.

Document processes, create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and improve operational efficiency.

Support change management, communication, and implementation activities related to HR programs.

Assist with organizational changes, workforce planning, or other business driven initiatives as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.

Experience managing HR projects or cross-functional initiatives.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices.

Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification.

Experience supporting multi-state or global employee populations.

Advanced Excel, data analysis, or reporting experience.

Change management or project management experience.

Primarily office-based work involves prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Requires visual acuity sufficient to analyze data, review detailed reports, and prepare presentations.

Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and in group presentation settings.
Salary: $8,500 per month (equal to $102,000 per year)
Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
