Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring our properties remain in excellent condition. This individual represents our company daily through professionalism, reliability, and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on residential and/or commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
- Diagnose problems and determine effective, cost-efficient solutions.
- Conduct routine property inspections along with move in and move out inspections to identify maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, supplies, and completed repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with tenants, vendors, and property management staff.
- Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property maintenance, building repair, or a related trade.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance skills (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness when handling tenant property and access.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation required and proof of insurance.
Preferred
- HVAC or other technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience in multifamily or residential property management environments.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software or digital work order systems.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
