Do you love working with children and staying active? Play Patrol Company is looking for energetic, dependable, and experienced sports instructors to join our team for the remainder of our summer season.
This is an excellent opportunity for elementary physical education teachers on summer break, substitute PE teachers, coaches, fitness instructors, and other professionals who enjoy teaching children through movement and play.
About the Position
As a Summer Sports Teacher, you'll lead fun, engaging sports and fitness classes at summer camps, childcare centers, and community programs for children ages 2 through elementary school. Our curriculum focuses on building confidence, teamwork, coordination, and a lifelong love of physical activity.
You'll teach activities such as:
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Floor Hockey
- Relay Games
- Fitness Activities
- Obstacle Courses
- Parachute Games
- Cooperative Team Building Activities
- Age-Appropriate Sports Skills
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Experience teaching elementary physical education or youth sports
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to engage children ages 2 and older
- High energy and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to schools and childcare centers throughout the Philadelphia region
- Current background clearances (or willingness to obtain them)

- Camp Counselor or Camp Director
- Childcare Teacher with movement or sports experience
Schedule
- Seasonal position beginning immediately through mid August
- Monday through Friday
- Morning and afternoon opportunities available
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for qualifying travel.
