Are you an experienced veterinary assistant who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment? The Humane Society Spay & Neuter Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgical Assistant to join our high-volume, mission-driven team dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and improving animal welfare in our community.
What You'll Do
- Assist veterinarian with high-volume spay/neuter surgeries
- Prepare patients for surgery, including anesthesia induction and monitoring
- Monitor patients during recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with patient intake and discharge
- Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment
- Work closely with a team committed to providing high-quality, affordable care
Qualifications
- Veterinary technician experience required
- Previous surgical and anesthesia experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinic setting
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
