Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Golf Cart Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of golf carts and related vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive and powersports engines, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on golf carts, including electrical systems, engines, suspension, brakes, and mechanical components using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, electrical wiring, suspension, brakes, and steering.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble vehicles efficiently.
- Troubleshoot basic vehicle issues through systematic inspection and testing to identify root causes.
- Conduct all-terrain vehicle (ATV) repair and powersports engine servicing with precision.
- Solder electrical connections and perform electrical diagnostics to resolve wiring or electronic system faults.
- Assist customers with basic troubleshooting advice and provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly.
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky parts during repairs or maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle.
- Support sales efforts by advising customers on maintenance needs or upgrades when appropriate.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background in automotive or powersports environments.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine systems repair and mechanical systems troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and electrical diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with motorcycle operation and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) repair techniques.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively during repairs.
- Experience with brake repair, suspension work, assembly processes, soldering, and heavy lifting tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated mechanic experience in automotive repair or similar fields such as motorcycle or powersports engine repair.
- Basic understanding of sales principles related to vehicle maintenance services.
