We are seeking a motivated and skilled Propane Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- A Ellsworth Energy Service, LLC Propane Service Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing propane systems and appliances ensuring safety and code compliance assisting customers with service needs and supporting deliveries and general operations as needed
- Install maintain and repair propane systems and appliances which may include working underneath houses crawlspaces and confined spaces
- Set tanks run lines and perform leak checks
- Work with customers to solve issues and answer questions
- Stay safe and follow all codes and regulations
- Help with deliveries and yard work when needed
- Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair propane tanks, regulators, valves, piping, and related equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on propane systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Diagnose issues related to appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and mechanical components.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately identify system layouts and repair needs.
- Perform safety inspections and testing procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Respond promptly to service calls for emergency repairs or system failures; document all service activities thoroughly.
- Provide guidance on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures to customers or team members.
Qualifications
- CDL with Hazmat & Tanker or willing to get them
- Clean driving record
- Able to lift 60 lbs and work in all weather
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- A clean MVR is required
- Employment offer contingent upon pre-employment drug test background check and MVR
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively.
- Experience in construction or related fields is a plus for understanding installation environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead a team when necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail during equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
