Field Engineering Specialist Test Representative

We are seeking a Field Engineering Specialist Test Representative to support testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and field engineering activities for military vehicle platforms. This role will work closely with engineering teams, government test personnel, mechanics, drivers, soldiers, and data collectors during developmental and operational test activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support vehicle-level testing for tracked and wheeled military platforms.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and fire control system issues.
- Use technical manuals, IETMs, drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and engineering documentation to resolve vehicle issues.
- Support installation of modification and ECO hardware.
- Communicate directly with engineering teams to resolve test failures and vehicle configuration issues.
- Write daily test engineering logs, field problem reports, and incident reports.
- Guide mechanics, drivers, government test personnel, and additional crew members during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Support aggressive test schedules at government test sites.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience operating or maintaining military wheeled or tracked vehicles.
- Experience with US Government Developmental Test or Operational Test is strongly preferred.
- Military vehicle maintenance background preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting automotive, weapons, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or software-related vehicle issues.
- Ability to write clear technical reports and daily engineering logs.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and direct others with limited supervision.
- Must have or be able to maintain Secret clearance or NACI.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be open to approximately 30–50% travel.
Qualified candidates should have hands-on military vehicle test, maintenance, field support, or troubleshooting experience.
