Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities focused on but not limited to behavior management, and early intervention strategies to support each child's unique needs.
- Create a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and physical activity through play.
- Collaborate with families and colleagues to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining compliance with childcare standards and licensing regulations.
- Monitor developmental milestones and inform instruction
- Insure consistent delivery of high-quality childcare and early learning experiences.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants
- This position focuses on fostering early childhood development through attentive care, age-appropriate activities, and responsive interaction
- They are responsible for monitoring infants' health and well-being, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Ultimately, this role contributes to laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and social development in the earliest stages of childhood
- Provide attentive and individualized care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Observe and document infants’ developmental progress and communicate observations to the teaching team
- Support positive interactions and relationships between infants, families, and staff members
- Patience and empathy are critical in responding to infants’ cues and providing comforting care
Preferred Experience
- Proven classroom management experience in early childhood education or daycare settings, with a focus on infants and young toddlers.
- Strong background in childhood development theories, special education practices, and early intervention techniques.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring additional support through behavior management or special education services.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with families, team members, and community partners.
- Familiarity with play-based learning, literacy education strategies, and the use of standardized assessments for young children.
- Prior experience in daycare or preschool settings that emphasizes child welfare, safety protocols, and classroom experience is highly valued.
