Operations Manager
ShipSquared | On-site, Addison, TX | Full-time
About ShipSquared
ShipSquared is a fulfillment center for growing DTC ecommerce brands. We run fulfillment, prep, and a live software portal that gives clients real visibility into their inventory and orders. We are scaling fast and onboarding a wave of new brands, and we need an Operations Manager who can own the floor and the systems behind it.
The Role
This is a player-coach role. You will run day-to-day fulfillment operations, build the processes that keep them consistent, and serve as the operational point of contact for our clients. We have invested heavily in automation and a strong software platform, so you are not buried in manual work. You are running a system. As volume grows, you will have the runway to build and lead a team beneath you.
What You Will Own

Writing, reviewing, and maintaining SOPs across carton labeling, product barcodes, onboarding, receiving, pack-out, returns, and all other warehouse related duties. Continuous improvement on slow or error-prone workflows.
Meeting with clients over Zoom for integrations, onboarding, questions, and advice. Keeping the support inbox handled and clean so no client request falls through the cracks.
Outreach, scheduling, and execution of partnerships with new carriers. Managing carrier relationships, pickup schedules, ad hoc pickups, and drop-off coordination. Ordering and maintaining supply and packaging levels from vendors.
Daily auditing of ShipStation for errors, missed orders, and connection issues. Proactively surfacing problems before they affect clients.
Temp hiring, onboarding, and training for fulfillment roles. Cross-training staff so there is no single point of failure.

Comfortable being on the floor and in front of clients in the same day
Strong with systems and software — able to learn a WMS/OMS portal quickly
Organized, process-minded, and able to document what you do
Calm under volume and a strong problem solver on the fly (Extremely important)
Nice to Have
Experience with FBA prep, including FNSKU labeling, poly bagging, bundling, and B2B shipment plans. Familiarity with ShipStation, Shopify, or QuickBooks. Experience hiring and building a small team.
What Success Looks Like
First 45 days: You know every workflow on the floor, our SOPs are current, and you own the daily label and prep cadence without oversight.
Ongoing: Operations run consistently and measurably, clients get fast and accurate fulfillment, and the floor does not depend on any one person.
Must be flexible with the ability to work overtime as needed including evenings and weekends.
Compensation & Culture
Pay is based on experience, with significant room to grow as we scale. This role includes quarterly performance bonuses tied to operational results.
You will be joining a startup at the point where your work actually moves the needle. We keep our team lean on purpose. That means less bureaucracy, faster decisions, and real ownership over outcomes from day one. As we invest in robotics and automation, your job is not to do more manual work, it is to run smarter systems and build the processes that let us grow without growing headcount.
If you want a seat where you can lead, leave a mark, and grow into more as the company does, this is it.
