Pedini NJ is seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer & Drafter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a talented designer who combines exceptional design skills with strong technical drafting expertise.
The ideal candidate has experience designing luxury kitchens, understands Italian cabinetry systems, and can independently prepare accurate shop drawings, installation drawings, and client presentations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, detail-oriented, and capable of taking a project from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Design functional and aesthetically exceptional kitchen layouts tailored to client needs.
- Create detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and installation plans using AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate floor plans, elevations, sections, and cabinetry details using metric dimensions.
- Produce high-quality 3D renderings and presentations for client meetings.
- Review architectural plans and identify potential design or installation challenges
- Ensure all drawings meet project requirements, building standards, and company quality expectations.
- Participate in showroom consultations and design presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen design experience.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with SketchUp and/or other 3D rendering software.
- Ability to independently produce complete shop drawings and construction documents.
- Experience working with Italian style cabinetry systems.
- Strong understanding of metric dimensions and cabinet manufacturing standards.
- Knowledge of kitchen ergonomics, appliance planning, and interior design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and client presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with luxury residential kitchen projects.
- Experience working in a kitchen showroom environment.
