As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll spend your day connecting directly with customers throughout the greater Durham area instead of sitting behind a desk. You’ll learn what people want from their wireless service, recommend options that make sense for their lifestyle, and build the confidence to turn conversations into results. Every Outside Sales Representative receives hands-on coaching while developing communication, product knowledge, and professional sales skills.
Responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative
- Build new connections with customers through in-person conversations throughout the Durham market.
- Introduce customers to Verizon smartphones, wireless plans, upgrades, and current promotions.
- Ask thoughtful questions about mobile usage and preferences to identify relevant solutions.
- Help customers compare devices and service options without overwhelming them with technical information.
- Recommend personalized wireless solutions based on what matters most to each person.
- Answer questions and help customers feel confident about the products and services they choose.
- Guide interested customers through enrollment while maintaining a professional, positive experience.
- Manage your daily outreach activity while continuing to develop as an Outside Sales Representative through coaching and feedback.
Qualifications of the Outside Sales Representative
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with new people.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Customer service, hospitality, retail, wireless, promotions, or sales experience is helpful but not required.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working toward individual performance goals.
- Dependable, coachable, and able to manage an active workday.
- Comfortable working directly with people throughout residential communities in the greater Durham area.
- Interested in growing professionally as an Outside Sales Representative while gaining hands-on wireless experience.
