Cascade Park Vista, one of Tacoma's most affordable Assisted Living communities, is looking for a Cook to join our Assisted Living community, where meals are more than food—they're comfort, dignity, and care. Our residents are seniors who have given so much, and many have little family or support. They rely on us for nourishment in body and spirit. Some Responsibilities:
Preparing nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals in accordance with the daily menu
Assure that food is cooked properly and all safety precautions are taken with regard to food handling and sanitation
Assist the servers in providing a smooth, efficient, and safe environment, inclusive of dining area
Be a team player and work well with residents and other departmental personnel
Provide our residents with a consistent, high-quality food service experience
Some Qualifications and Skills:
1-3 years of previous restaurant experience (preferred).
Scratch cooking experience (preferred)
Supervisory experience a plus
Possess a general understanding of the needs of the elderly as well as developmentally and physically challenged
Be cheerful, have an enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills
