Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure they have a memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements with efficiency and warmth. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, fostering guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists using Square POS systems and Yelp Guest Manager to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate with the service team to assign tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring smooth operations
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear, courteous communication, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest satisfaction
- Support the restaurant team during busy hours by managing guest flow and providing exceptional customer service
Experience
- Prior experience as a Host or Hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong background in customer service, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with Guest Management and POS systems is highly desirable
- Experience working in hospitality settings such as hotels or similar guest-focused environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and guest services enhances effectiveness in this role
- Previous experience with phone etiquette and guest relations contributes to delivering outstanding hospitality
