Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Aesthetic Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role within a medical dermatology or aesthetic practice. This position is vital to ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their treatment journey.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Patient Preparation:** Prepare patients for medical and aesthetic procedures, including taking medical histories, and ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
**Assisting with Procedures:** Assist the medical professionals during aesthetic treatments such as laser therapy, injectables, chemical peels, and other non-surgical procedures. Ensure all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
**Patient Education:** Educate patients about pre- and post-treatment care, explaining procedures and answering any questions to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the process.
**Clinical Support:** Perform routine clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering medications, and applying dressings or bandages as required.
**Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage medical supplies and inventory, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and properly stored.
**Documentation:** Accurately document patient information, treatment details, and outcomes in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
**Maintain Cleanliness:** Ensure the treatment rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and sanitized according to safety standards.
**Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining positive relationships with patients to enhance their overall experience.
**Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other medical and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an aesthetic or dermatology practice.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar credential preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aesthetic treatments, procedures, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
