Job Description: Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner
Kemet Health is looking to partner with a dedicated Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner committed to integrative/holistic care and collaboration between endocrine and psychiatry. This is a new program for us as we build into a multi-specialty practice. We are seeking leaders with strong perspectives or passion projects for how endocrine care can improve patient health outcomes and overall functioning.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality endocrine care and ensuring positive patient outcomes through our telehealth platform.
We are an outpatient multi-specialty healthcare organization operating twelve virtual and physical outpatient clinics, expanding access to care to additional states. We focus on providing relationship-based healthcare services with longer appointments and regular follow up care. We accept multiple insurance plans. Our focus areas are listed below:

We are looking for an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner to offer telemedicine services and help build our broader telehealth practice. This position has the potential to grow in financial and professional scope, with a path to take on a leadership role within the organization. The role starts with a flexible time commitment that can be customized to you.
Location: Virtual (fully remote via telemedicine)
Role Overview:
The Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive endocrine care, integrative services that link with psychiatry, medical management consults, and ensure patients receive the support they need to manage their conditions effectively.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Care: Provide endocrine care to an individual caseload: improve patient health outcomes, medical management, and address comprehensive endocrine healthcare needs. Manage and treat endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and pituitary disorders. Conduct telehealth visits, including patient evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up appointments.
Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals (psychiatry, primary care) to ensure integrated, comprehensive healthcare. Participate in team meetings to discuss complex cases and optimize patient care.
Patient Education & Advocacy: Educate patients on managing their conditions through lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management techniques. Advocate for patient wellness and ensure patient understanding of their care plan.
Quality & Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner License with a focus in Endocrinology, Family Medicine, or Primary Care (Required)
- Active Prescriptive Authority (Required)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in endocrinology or related fields (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Virginia License
- Active Maryland License
- Private Insurance Paneling
- 5+ years of full-time clinical experience in endocrinology
- Familiarity with telemedicine and remote patient monitoring
- Additional certifications or special training in diabetes management, thyroid disorders, or other endocrine specialties
