An international automotive parts manufacturer in the Shelbyville, TN area is looking for a Quality Manager.
Ideal candidate would have at least 6 years of supplier or customer quality experience and interaction with automotive OEMs with supervisory experience.
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage PQA teams across multiple manufacturing plants.
- Oversee supplier quality, APQP, PPAP, audits, and launch readiness activities.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of critical customer and supplier quality issues.
- Monitor and improve product and process quality through data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Support new product development and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers and address quality concerns.
- Review quality performance reports and communicate results to management.
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resources.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Travel to customer and supplier locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum of 6 years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment with supervision experience
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, Customer Quality, and Supplier Quality
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Familiarity with core automotive quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality systems
- This position includes manufacturing and office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
