Job Summary
We're looking for an organized, motivated Criminal Defense Paralegal to support our attorneys in a fast-paced criminal defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their legal career who is eager to learn, stay organized, and make a meaningful impact. You'll help manage cases, communicate with clients, prepare legal documents, and keep cases moving from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Organize case files, evidence, and legal documents
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and client meetings
- Conduct legal research and gather case information
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests
- Maintain accurate case files and update the case management system
- Communicate with clients, courts, law enforcement, and other parties
- Protect confidential client information and follow office procedures
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate, legal studies coursework, or equivalent experience preferred
- Interest in criminal defense or litigation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable learning new technology and legal software

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
