Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician, Apprentice or Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including residential and commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring work safely following NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose complex electrical issues within commercial and residential electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including proper grounding, circuit protection, and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure during renovation or construction projects to identify potential hazards or system failures.
- Collaborate with team members on schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and installation planning for diverse projects involving high voltage and commercial electrical systems.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential and commercial environments with a strong understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance.
- Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage control circuits.
- Ability to perform high-voltage wiring safely while adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and control panel wiring.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installation or maintenance tasks.
- Strong hand tool proficiency along with power tools necessary for complex electrical work.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards to ensure compliance during installation or repairs.
- Capable of performing detailed troubleshooting on diverse electrical systems within reseidential or commercial facilities.
- Basic frame carpentry or handyman skills are a plus for supporting broader project needs.
