Job Summary:
Pampa Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a travel assignment. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care, assisting in the rehabilitation and recovery of patients in outpatient and/or acute care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Ensure a safe and clean therapy environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in outpatient or acute care settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Pay: Up to $43.00 per hour
