Key Responsibilities for the Net Revenue Accountant:

Prepare monthly revenue close packages, journal entries, and supporting schedules
-
Analyze net revenue trends, patient accounts receivable, and financial variances
-
Maintain bad debt and contractual reserve models and calculations
-
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting of revenue and AR balances
-
Prepare monthly forecasts and assist with annual budgeting processes

Partner with Revenue Cycle and Finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and financial results

Prepare audit workpapers and support internal and external audits

Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance accounting efficiencies

Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
Qualifications for the Net Revenue Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

4+ years of progressive accounting experience

Healthcare accounting or hospital net revenue experience strongly preferred
-
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles

Experience with patient accounts receivable, revenue recognition, or reimbursement accounting preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

CPA preferred, but not required
