Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through personalized therapy programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that address a wide range of physical, neurological, and developmental conditions. Your expertise will directly impact clients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, helping them achieve their goals and regain functional skills.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional independence.
- Assist clients with discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education for ongoing therapy needs.
- Support patients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder by designing specialized interventions.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and medical terminology.
- Provide patient care across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health visits, and school-based programs.
- Educate clients and their families about therapy goals, treatment processes, and strategies for maintaining progress at home or in community settings.
- Participate in case management activities to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or country regulations.
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, neurodevelopmental disorders (including autism), and post-acute care settings.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
- Experience conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing effective treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs, implementing occupational therapy programs, and managing clinical documentation efficiently.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate record keeping.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients of all ages and collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Acute care experience including ICU or inpatient hospital settings is a plus; outpatient or clinic experience is also valued.
- Demonstrated commitment to client-centered care and continuous professional development in areas such as pediatric occupational therapy and occupational health.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
