We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to add to our Accounting Team. This position will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and is expected to work with minimum supervision to become an expert in their responsible functions. This person requires attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of data entry, and an ability to follow standard procedures.

Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
Experience with ERP Software - Dynamics 365 Business Central
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with great attention to detail and accurately record numerical data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

You Must Have:

5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
Strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor accounts payable e-mail for incoming invoices and any correspondence from vendors.
Receive, verify, process, and reconcile vendor invoice
Respond to external vendors and internal personnel regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process
Reconcile credit card statements
Follow a monthly accounts payable checklist to ensure all recurring invoices have been received
Assist Accounts Payable Manager with audit requests and/or special projects
Complete AP process including timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments
Identify opportunity for process improvements in AP workflow to enhance efficiency
Support Accounts Payable Manager by having a strong understanding in:
- The importance of a financial close
- GAAP as it relates to Accounts Payable
- Expense classifications and month end accruals

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, On-site

Compensation: Depending on experience
