Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately recording findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration under supervision or as trained
- Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients and their families to foster trust and comfort
- Ensure safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhere to safe lifting practices during manual handling
- Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Assist with specialized care needs including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, behavioral health, and hospice care
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations
- Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR) certification required
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer methods effectively
- Strong caregiver communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service
- Prior experience in diverse settings such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers), outpatient clinics, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices and working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs

Pay: $24.07 - $28.99 per hour
