AS A GENERAL MANAGER, YOU WILL SET THE EXAMPLE FOR WHAT THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS LOOK LIKE IN YOUR RESTAURANT:
- Hospitality, Health, Safety & Service Standards to Guests & Co-Workers Alike.
- Standards of Quality & Accuracy to Every Order, Every Time.
- Standards of Cleanliness while Working and Maintaining Equipment, Cooking, Prep & Dining Areas.
- Standards of Ensuring Paper Goods, Ingredients, Utensils, and Supplies are Organized, Well Stocked, and Crew are Positioned as Scheduled.
- Standards of Basic Adherence to Professionalism, Policies, Schedule Compliance, Appearance, and Teamwork.
THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GENERAL MANAGER INCLUDE:
- Ensuring Safety & Profitability while adhering to the Organization's Business Plan.
- Producing Manager Schedules, Requests/Punches & Approvals.
- Submit Daily & Weekly Deposits, Payroll & Safe Accountability & Audits.
- Oversee daily operations of the establishment, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage food preparation and production processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Supervise and train staff, including Kitchen, Front Counter, Drive-Thru, Guest Experience Leads and Digital Ambassadors
- Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize waste and control costs.
- Utilize POS systems for order management and financial reporting.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for upper management.
- Ensure adherence to health regulations and company policies.
- Working with the Kitchen Dept Manager on these Initiatives:
o Food Safety Checks & Calibrations
o Operating Supply Inventory & Ordering
o Monitor Kitchen Operational Metrics and Targets
- Work with the Guest Service Manager on these Initiatives:
o Hospitality Standards & Overall Guest Satisfaction
o POP and Signage
o Monitor Operational Metrics and Targets
- Work with the People Department Manager on these Initiatives:
o Ongoing Team Training
o Team Promotions, Recognition & Turnover
o Team Schedules
- The General Manager will report directly to the Owner/Operator.
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR A GENERAL MANAGER SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- McDonald’s Managerial experience, or other quick service restaurant equivalent.
- Bilingual, with a strong ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is a Major plus.
- Basic knowledge and application of computer skills.
- The General Manager should be available to work an average of 45-48 hours a week.
o Includes a mix of dayparts to address restaurant needs.
o Includes 2 Sundays
o Includes 2 Fridays
o Includes 2 Closings
- Proven experience in the food service or food production industry, with a strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service sector is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for operational efficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
